Home Schoolers Win Houston Mock Trial Competition

Lael Lawless, Zach Reynolds, Stephen Muldrow, Melanie Muldrow, Truett Whitt, Philip Schultz, and Paige Toppert were named the 2009 Regional Champions from Houston in the National High School Mock Trial Competition. This group is coached by former home schooled student Adam Muldrow. Many of these students are current or former debaters in Texas.

The team will compete for the state championship in Dallas, March 5-7. The competition consists of teams acting as attorneys and witnesses who prepare and try a case in court against opposing teams. Each team must present its defense and prosecution of the case.
