Change in Leadership?

Has your group recently experienced a change in leadership, or will spring elections bring new leaders onboard?  Now is the time to drop us a line and update your support group information. We will send a free Handbook for Texas Home Schoolers – a $20 value – to each member of your leadership team when your group up-dates their information by July 1, 2009!

One of the most difficult jobs we have here at THSC is keeping support group information up-to-date.  Every day we receive calls from home school families all across the state looking to connect with other home school families.  We want to be sure that the information we give them is current and accurate.

As home schooling grows in popularity, new groups seem to pop up like spring flowers.  We would love to assist these groups to help ensure their success.  Other groups completely lose contact with THSC when leadership changes and past leaders move on.  So, please help us help you by keeping your group’s information up-to-date and making sure your new leaders know who we are and what we do.

One of the services THSC offers to support groups is providing them with complimentary copies of our quarterly THSC REVIEW magazine to distribute to new and prospective members.  Is the number of copies your group receives sufficient to meet your needs?  Now is a good time to take inventory and let us know if fewer or perhaps more copies would be better.  These magazines are free upon request to all Texas home school families, so take a THSC sign-up sheet to your next moms’ meeting and add those new home school families to the THSC mailing list.

REMEMBER to let your members know that they will receive $15 off their THSC Association membership when they list your support group on their membership application.  We will be happy to provide your group with THSC brochures for you to pass along to your members.  Just include your request for brochures with your updated leadership information.
