Marketing Manager:

THSC seeks an experienced and aggressive marketing manager to manage the sales and customer service teams and implement industry marketing practices. This is a full-time position, requiring approximately 40 hours a week during regular office hours and may be performed from home.


  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, sales, and promotional staff and activities
  • Determine and manage the marketing budget and deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
  • Develop and manage advertising and membership campaigns
  • Analyze, formulate, and implement best practices to increase membership
  • Coordinate with other internal departments to promote the THSC brand, membership, special events, and projects organization wide
  • Identify target markets and develop strategies to communicate with them
  • Expand and develop marketing platforms
  • Manage production of promo material including, but not limited to, print, web, and video media
  • Travel to trade shows, conferences, and staff meetings as required
  • Monitor, review, and report on all marketing activity and results
  • Explore ways of improving existing processes, products, and services, and increase profitability
  • Build message and presence on social media
  • Recruit and oversee the recruitment, administration, and management of volunteer teams
  • Provide an executive report weekly to the Executive Leadership Team and to the THSC board quarterly in committee meetings as required

We’re looking for veteran home school parents to fill a part-time position, working from home to help answer calls from home schoolers.


  • Greet callers in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner using agreed-upon procedures.
  • Listen attentively to callers’ needs and concerns; demonstrate compassion; clarify callers’ questions.
  • Document calls in THSC’s online system.
  • Provide general clerical support.

Policy Analyst:

Status: Accepting Resumes

THSC policy analysts represent and protect the home schooling community by interfacing with state agencies and officials, working on THSC’s political election efforts, and connecting the home school community with the political community at the local level.


Political Campaign work:

  • Researching, vetting, and interviewing candidates.
  • Collecting and reviewing political candidate Q&A responses and making recommendations.
  • Writing blog posts, press releases, endorsements, eblasts, letters, mailers, robo calls, articles, and ads for endorsed candidates.
  • Speaking at meetings and events, and taking appropriate interviews.
  • Coordinating GOTV efforts in key districts.
  • Staying up-to-date on election news and in district status of key races.
  • Developing and managing groups of local volunteers around the state.
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers for THSC’s policy and election related work.

THSC Rangers Program:

  • Coordinating local clubs and events/activities.
  • Establishing local connections to plant and grow clubs.
  • Vetting potential club leaders.
  • Identifying club sponsors.

Policy work:

  • Drafting ministry letters.
  • Doing policy research and follow up calls/contact.
  • Negotiating and communicating with state agencies and officials.

Policy Analyst Qualifications:

  • Have excellent writing, analytical, and public speaking skills.
  • Be organized, deadline-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects.

Leadership Support Manager

THSC seeks a motivated administrator with a heart for home schooling to network THSC with local and regional home school groups across the state, offering support and encouragement for group leaders and home schooling as well as facilitating communication within the home school community from the state to the local level. This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 20 hours a week, during regular office hours, and may be performed from home.


  • The Leadership Support Manager is responsible to develop, administer, and grow THSC’s home school group network, the Affiliate Group Program, and the Leadership Appreciation Program.
  • Recruit and manage volunteer teams to aid in:
    • communicating with groups,
    • collecting and updating group data,
    • providing leadership support,
    • vetting new group applications,
    • and completing various other projects of the Leadership Support Team.
  • Attend any weekly, monthly, or quarterly meetings online or in person as required.
  • Ensure leaders receive quality support by developing a team of volunteers to field group-related questions via phone and email, including equipping new group leaders and consulting with existing group leaders.
  • Organize, promote, and administrate the Affiliate Group Program, offering added support and benefits to groups that join THSC’s network.
  • Proactively build THSC’s group list and ensure information is and remains up-to-date.
  • Organize and administrate Texas Leaders’ Conferences twice annually.
  • Promote the Leadership Appreciation Program, including distribution of Leader Appreciation Certificates and selection of the THSC Leader of Year.
  • Identify the changing needs of group leaders and propose plans to increase or change THSC’s support as necessary.
  • Facilitate and/or provide leadership training at various local group meetings (some travel required).
  • Write and commission the writing of informational, inspirational, and encouraging articles for monthly THSC Leader Blog Posts and various other publications as required.

Data Analyst/Coordinator

The Data Analyst is an individual with a high degree of initiative and motivation. You have the ability to effectively collaborate with coworkers and outside organizations, and a strong customer service orientation. Our database contains membership, donation, advertiser, and home school group information. The Data Analyst, as part of the administrative team, collects, enters, and manages all data for THSC.


  • Provide critical data management and analysis to support THSC.
  • Generate data reports on periodic basis for reporting, meetings, and presentations.


  • Provide coaching and training to other department personnel on specific job responsibilities involving database.
  • Develop and maintain procedure manuals related to database operations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of “best practices” related to data visualization and act as a resource for the team in this area.


  • Perform collection, interpretation, and entering of data and set company guidelines and standards for such data.
  • Follow operating procedures for data; integrity, handling, archiving, and protecting.
  • Improve effectiveness of the database tools and services.
  • Maintain mailing lists.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, organizational, and member information.
  • Troubleshoot data problems as they arise.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Communicate with declined payment members/attendees.
  • Data Entry for membership payments outside of Civi–eliminating them when possible

Project Coordination (when required):

  • Design, develop, and modify data management infrastructure to expedite data analysis and reporting.
  • Provide guidance in identifying and defining data requirements with all departments.
  • Work closely with various departments to develop, test, and improve workflows.
  • Evaluate the design, selection, implementation, and support of database changes using associated business requirements and design documents.
  • Manage the database projects and vendors and keep within approved budgeted expenditures.

Preferred Experience:

  • CRM Experience, specifically CiviCRM and/or Salesforce.
  • Experience with reporting tools, specifically Jasper Reports.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Microsoft Access or MySQL.

Office Coordinator

(20-25 hours per week; 4-5 hours/day between 8 am and 5 pm daily)

The Office Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the office and administrative functions of THSC, as well as providing administrative support to the Executive Leadership Team. The administrative team, including accounting and customer service, works together to provide high quality and timely support to the organization.

  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail, shipping, and receiving.
  • Provide support for general office functions, including printing checks/forms for departments, obtaining signatures, and maintaining office equipment.
  • Define procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records (digital and paper) in order to maintain filing systems.
  • Prepare an annual budget and manage purchases and expenditures within that budget.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain Insurance requirements for organization.
  • Manage Good Citizenship Certificates and Scholarships through THSC.
  • Manage volunteers and interns with office duties.
  • Schedule staff travel (cars, hotels, flights) and event sign up.
