THSC Awards Banquet

THSC held its 13^th Annual Awards Banquet Saturday, April 11, in Houston.  Hear what one attendee had to say about the event:

“We had a terrific time!

“The banquet was done with such class. The speakers were incredible. The music and singing added the perfect touch.

“Last week I had one of those ... "Am I doing a good enough job educating my kids/would they be better off in school?" kind of weeks. I left the banquet with a solid reminder of why I am homeschooling. I needed a fresh perspective and left fully-charged that I am doing what is right. We might be behind in math (ADHD reasons, etc.), but all three of my kids have terrific character, political knowledge (very young), and a love for God. We will catch up eventually, but you can't catch up with a lifelong process of being raised to be a good person!

• The Honorable Charlie Howard, for his work in the adoption of laws requiring public schools to allow home school students to take PSAT and AP tests at public high schools and allowing home school graduates to be eligible for B-On-Time Loans

• The Honorable Dan Patrick, for his work in the adoption of laws requiring home school graduates to be eligible for B-On-Time Loans
