Jim Weiss
Jim Weiss has
been a storyteller for over 30 years.
Under the
Greathall Productions label, Weiss has produced 40 storytelling
recordings with enticing titles such as King Arthur,
Greek Myths, Sherlock Holmes, and Galileo and the
Stargazers. In addition, Jim Weiss and Greathall Productions
have produced and recorded masterful and thoughtful readings of
G.A. Henty’s, The Cat of Bubastes, Wulf the Saxon,
The Young Carthaginian, In the Reighn of Terror,
Beric the Briton, In Freedom’s Cause, and G.A. Henty
Short Stories, Vol.1. Jim has also recorded Rascal
(published by Listening Library), Sea Biscuit (published by
Blackstone Audio), The Story of the World, Volumes 1-4
(published by Peace Hill Press), a variety of Read-Along Book/CD
Sets: Mole Musci, The Treasure, and
Gregory’s Shadow (published by Live Oak Music), and numerous
children’s and adult titles (published by Books on Tape).
Weiss is the
recipient of 80-plus national awards from The Old Schoolhouse,
Mary Pride’s Practical Homeschooling, Reader’s Choice, The
American Library Association, Parents’ Choice Foundation, The Film
Advisory Board, and many more.
Jim Weiss
recordings are highly praised and recommended by many home school
journals and professionals including HomeEducation Magazine,
Homeschooling Today, Greenleaf Press, The Well Trained
Mind, Family Times, The Link, and countless
others.
Jim travels
extensively across the United States and Canada presenting
library, school, store, and community events; teacher workshops;
and his favorite, home school conferences. He has performed at
The White House Easter Event and starred in and hosted a PBS
Storytelling pilot that won a Northern California Emmy Award for
Best Children’s Show.
