Dates: Final Capitol Day on Thursday, May 2, 2013

Registration Deadline: Registration is closed.

Location: Texas Capitol Building Extension Auditorium

Parking: Capitol Visitors Parking Garage located at 1201 San Jacinto, between Trinity and San Jacinto Streets, at 12th and 13th Streets.

Cost: $20 for THSC Association members, $25 for non-members, groups of 10+ are $17.

Please wear business attire (gentlemen – dress slacks and ties, suit coats optional; ladies – modest dress slacks, suits, or skirts). What you wear is very important! You will be representing all Texas home schoolers at the Capitol in the afternoon. While not everyone will get to speak directly with you, they will all judge you and your cause solely by what they see.

Please note: All attendees must register for this event (parents, grandparents, and siblings of students). The THSC Capitol Days are suggested for students ages 10 and up. Younger students are likely to enjoy many aspects of the event and are welcome to participate if they are capable of sitting through the morning sessions. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Refunds requested in writing by the posted registration deadline will be issued minus 10 percent. There will be no refunds after the registration deadline.

9:00 a.m. Welcome, Opening, and Introductions (Extension Auditorium)
Morning program will cover legislative training.
12:00 p.m. Lunch on Your Own
12:45 p.m. Divide into teams and meet with legislators at the Capitol.
2:30 p.m. Debriefing (in the Extension Auditorium)
