The 23rd annual statewide Texas Leadership Forum is October 12-14 in Austin. The TLF has agreed to give a $25 discount on the student registration fee to THSC Association members.
The Texas Leadership Forum has a rich heritage of connecting and empowering some of the most promising young minds in Texas public service. Each year they invite several accomplished civic, business, and political leaders to discuss and share their experiences with forum participants. They also conduct several workshops and breakout group exercises that culminate in the annual Search for Solutions contest, which is held throughout the weekend. The Texas Leadership Forum is an excellent opportunity for college students and young professionals to hone personal and organizational leadership skills, and to brainstorm and network with colleagues about the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow. For those on the path of leadership, this is an event not to be missed.
The adult registration is $225; regular student registration is $175. THSC Association student member registration is $150. THSC members must write "THSC" on the registration to get the $25 discount.

Strength for the High School Years
Just like the hurricanes that threaten thousands of people on the eastern coast with devastation and disruption every year, the high school years of home school life can often seem like a dangerous storm looming on the educational horizon of life. They suddenly appear, ready to blow into our lives, forcing us to question whether or not we have done enough to prepare for them, or whether we should just drop out and head for shelter.
