Are You the Next George Lucas?
The people at WORDsearch Media have decided to create an online film festival for Christian filmmakers. The festival is designed to showcase and celebrate independently produced videos, especially those used for sermon illustration. Some of the requirements are:
- Anyone (except employees and vendors of WORDsearch) can enter a video, 1 ½ to 3 minutes long, that illustrates a Biblical spiritual principle.
- Viewers can go to their site and enjoy the videos any time.
- After October 25 a panel of judges, made up of pastors and media ministers, will select finalists for popular voting.
- Then from November 1 to November 15, everyone can vote for his or her favorites on their Web site.
- The three videos receiving the most votes will be awarded cash prizes of $1,000, $600, and $400.
Time is running out, so get your entries in now! Get more details.... |

Getting in Touch with Reality
Once there was a home school family that always got out of bed on time. Their Bible study and prayer time was always refreshing and invigorating. Meals were always sumptuous and healthful. The children were devoted to their studies; they jumped at the chance to do math, literature, Latin, spelling, science, and history. The only thing they enjoyed more was cleaning the house. Everyone was always kind and loving to each other and spoke to each other with the utmost respect. Their clothes always matched and were never dirty. The family's activities were always historic, artistic, or organic. Their family room walls were covered with ribbons and plaques won from county fairs and community-service organizations, and their congressmen knew them by name.
