THSC Patrick Henry College Scholarship
In keeping with its mission to serve the home schoolers of Texas, Texas Home School Coalition has established a scholarship fund for Texas home school graduates who attend Patrick Henry College. The required information must be completed in order to be considered for scholarship money from this fund. The deadline for submission of an application is Friday, February 29, 2008 (postmark date). Please note that this deadline is a correction of what was printed in the November REVIEW magazine.

Virginia High School League Hears HEAV Proposal
"On behalf of Virginia homeschoolers who are interested in participation in interscholastic activities, HEAV (Home Educators Association of Virginia) made a formal presentation to the Virginia High School League. VHSL is the governing body for sports and interscholastic competitions throughout the state. The league is made up of principals from 300 public high schools, athletic directors, and DOE representatives."

Letter to Paris DPS
The Department of Public Safety office in Paris refused to accept the Verification of Enrollment form from a member family. Instead, it tried to substitute its own form and force the family to provide proof of home schooling. The family asked for help from THSC. Tim Lambert wrote the Paris office and informed its personnel of the state of Texas' regulations.
