To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. C____ J____ regarding their
daughter, M_______ A_______. This letter should serve as
verification that M_____ is currently being homeschooled by her
parents. As they are a member family of the Texas Home School
Coalition Association, I can assure that they are in full
compliance with the laws of the state of Texas regarding academic
subjects, health, and attendance.
The state of Texas considers home schools private schools, and
home school students in high school are considered to be in
attendance in a secondary school (Texas Education Code Sec.
51.9241). In view of these facts, it is clear that the state of
Texas considers a high school-aged student in a home school to be
in attendance in a secondary school. Mercedes is currently
studying math, language arts, history, and science.
I hope this verification of M_______ enrollment and attendance in
high school is sufficient to meet the Plano Housing Authority’s
