Kim Ashby is a Raleigh, N.C. home school mom of three special needs sons. She graduated her oldest in May 2007. He graduated from UNC-Wilmington in May 2012. Kim continues to home school her younger two sons.
The Ashbys’ oldest son has ADHD, their second son has cerebral palsy, and their youngest has mild auditory processing issues.
Kim has a B.S. in nursing. She is the owner of Creative Tutors of Wake County, N.C., a certified Interactive Metronome provider. She is the founder of GIFTSNC, Inc., a home schooling special needs support group. She has served in leadership of other home school support groups also and has co-instructed graduate-level courses at UNC-Chapel Hill for ST/OT students and Early Intervention students.
