Texas House Speaker Tom Craddick has poured more than $200,000 into the effort to keep his Republican majority, but resurgent Democrats were fighting back hard in hotly contested races across the state, an Associated Press analysis shows.

Biden Tells 14 Lies During VP Debate

Senator Joe Biden lied at least 14 times during the vice presidential debate according to those counting at John McCain's presidential headquarters.

N.Y. Times Whitewashes Obama-Ayers Connection

A prominent article by the New York Times this weekend purporting to investigate the connections between Sen. Barack Obama and former Weathermen radical Bill Ayers omits key associations between the two and in some cases seems to minimize their relationship.

Do Facts Matter?

by Thomas Sowell

Abraham Lincoln said, "You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time."  Unfortunately, the future of this country, as well as the fate of the Western world, depends on how many people can be fooled on election day, just a few weeks from now.

Las Vegas ACORN Office Raided in Voter-Fraud Probe

Nevada authorities seized records Tuesday from a group they accused of submitting fraudulent voter-registration forms - including for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys.

The Real Obama Part II

by Thomas Sowell

A recent Republican campaign ad sarcastically described as Barack Obama's "one accomplishment" his supporting a bill to promote sex education in kindergarten.

The ACORN Obama Knows

by Michelle Malkin

If you don't know what ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) is all about, you better bone up. This left-wing group takes in 40 percent of its revenues from American taxpayers - you and me - and has leveraged nearly four decades of government subsidies to fund affiliates that promote the welfare state and undermine capitalism and self-reliance, some of which have been implicated in perpetuating illegal immigration and encouraging voter fraud. A new whistleblower report from the Consumer Rights League documents how Chicago-based ACORN has commingled public tax dollars with political projects.

Is ACORN Stealing The Election?

Investor's Business Daily Editorial

Election Fraud: A radical group Barack Obama used to work for is committing voter-registration fraud in several states, ahead of the election. What does Obama know about this scam?

Dem Strategists See Landslide

Three weeks of historic economic upheaval have done more than just tilt a handful of once reliably Republican states in Barack Obama's direction. Democratic strategists are now optimistic that the ongoing crisis could lead to a landslide Obama victory.

The Obama-Ayers Connection

by Dick Morris

In the best tradition of Bill Clinton's famous declaration that the answer to the question of whether or not he was having an affair with Monica depended on "what the definition of 'is' is," Barack Obama was clearly splitting hairs and concealing the truth when he said that William Ayers was "just a guy who lives in my neighborhood."

I'm Mad Too, Wisconsin Guy!

by Bobby Eberle

At a townhall meeting in Wisconsin on Thursday, Sen. John McCain came face to face with everything that is troubling grassroots conservatives. We are tired and frustrated with big-spending, big-government programs. We are tired of the corruption in Washington by both parties. We are sick of efforts to "reach across the aisle" to work with socialist Democrats.

Update for 5th District Residents on Financial Markets and Energy Freedom Day

by Jeb Hensarling

Three weeks ago, the Bush administration requested $700 billion from Congress to bail out banks on Wall Street that held troubled mortgage-related assets. I spent the last month in Washington leading the charge against the Paulson plan and spearheading efforts to find an alternative that would not place taxpayers on the hook for mistakes made by Wall Street. Two of the most important issues facing this Congress happened to climax all at once: the current financial crisis and energy independence.  While Congress was considering the Paulson plan, Americans were finally able to celebrate Energy Freedom Day when the offshore drilling moratorium was allowed to expire.  This was a significant victory on an issue I've been working on for a long time.

 The Fight Is On!

Skimming the tremendous number of messages we received for the McCain campaign over the weekend, it was easy to spot a theme: Fight harder! In fact, many of you even quoted Senator McCain's closing remarks at the RNC convention: "Fight with me. Fight with me. Fight for what's right for our country. Fight for the ideals and character of a free people. Fight for our children's future. ...Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight."

I'm pleased to report that the McCain campaign is getting more aggressive. It started Friday, right after the vice presidential debate. In an interview with Fox News, Sarah Palin said of Obama, "Some of his comments that he has made about the war ... in my world disqualifies someone from consideration as the next commander in chief."

Palin followed that up with a broadside on Saturday about Obama's connection to William Ayers, saying, "Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country. ...This is not a man who sees America as you see America and as I see America."
