The Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) and the
Travis County Republican Liberty Caucus (TCRLC) added their names to
the long list of Conservative Groups endorsing Ken Mercer for the
Texas State Board of Education.
Ken Mercer
responded:
"I am
honored with two more endorsements by conservative Republican
groups. The YCT and TCRLC each carefully reviewed the conservative
credentials of both myself and my Austin-lobbyist opponent.
On the one hand is my
opponent who lobbied hard for these
endorsements. Perhaps his personal contributions of over
$41,000.000 to liberal Democrats in our district cast a long shadow
over his claims of being a Conservative.
On the other hand is my conservative voting
record that is proof positive that I have supported the same winning
platform that YCT and TCRLC support."
Ken
Mercer concluded:
"Clearly, the Conservative definition of 'education' is in, and the
'political indoctrination' of the Far Left is out!
The Far Left likes to say, 'We need to get
back to the business of education.' Translation: Liberals are
losing and Conservatives are winning!"
