New Endorsements Mark Ongoing Momentum of Governor's Campaign

In the last several days, Gov. Perry has earned more endorsements from important statewide groups including the Texas Association of Builders HOMEPAC, Texas Association of Manufactures MPACT, the Texas Medical Association TEXPAC, and the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists PAC.

Republican Party Growing Stronger Across the State; Gov. Perry Recognizes Election Victories

Last week marked several important gains for the Republican Party in Texas as eight elected officials announced their switch from the Democratic to Republican Party. Gov. Perry eagerly welcomed Rep. Chuck Hopson of Jacksonville and seven officials from Hardin County into the party, recognizing their announcements as "confirmation that the conservative values of personal liberty, fiscal restraint and limited government embraced by the Republican Party are the pillars of governance that will keep our state on the path of prosperity well into the future."

Gov. Perry also recognized several victories in last Tuesday's elections including the passage of Propositions 4 and 11, which will respectively strengthen our state's higher education system and private property rights. He also congratulated Governor-elect Bob McDonnell of Virginia and Governor-elect Chris Christie of New Jersey on their election victories, marking two important gains for the Republican Party nationally.
