The 2015 THSC Watchmen officially arrived in Austin last week! Our first week included preparations for the start of the legislative session on Tuesday, January 13th. Your guards stockpiled and familiarized ourselves with information about the upcoming legislature, as well as set up various tools necessary for success throughout the session. Thanks to the generosity and involvement of many families in Texas, the THSC Watchmen are well supplied with tools aiding the sorting of information and for keeping track of the many bills which have been and will be filed.
Nevertheless, one thing that we are all aware of is that no matter how well supplied and equipped we are, no amount of money or preparedness will be sufficient for us to accomplish our goal this session if we do not continue to have God’s blessing on our undertaking, as well as the support of Texas’ home schooling community. In the last session, the THSC Watchmen caught and defeated dangerous bills, but it took the involvement and committedness of individuals across the state who called and emailed their legislators to make sure that those bills ultimately did not make it to the Governor’s desk. We need YOU if this session is going to be a success for parental rights and home schooling.
Four actions for your family this legislative session:
- Make calls and send emails to your legislators.
- Consider driving to Austin to voice your opinion personally, protesting against or supporting a bill.
- Help THSC sponsor the THSC Watchmen’s stint on the ground in Austin fighting for your freedom by giving today.Give financial support to the THSC Watchmen and continued legislative work of THSC.
- Furthermore, we need you to pray. “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” ~Psalm 127:1.
Watch for our updates on Facebook, Twitter, and our website for calls to action. Join us in the fight when the need arises, and pray that the Lord of all of the earth would fight for us, guide us, and bless our efforts.
