How to Define Diligence for Your Family
Defining exactly what diligence looks like in the context of forms, reports, and processes is not as easy as defining the concept. The reason for the complexity of defining specific parameters that fall under the planning umbrella of diligent home schooling has to do with the diversity of families who make up the home schooling community. The list below is a compilation of different record keeping tools successfully used by a variety of home schooling families.
Whether you are a new-to-home schooling home schooler or a well-seasoned home schooler, this is a good list to look over and “bookmark” for sharing with other home schoolers in your network. From physical books to downloadable apps, this list crosses not only media barriers but also generational ones. I must admit, even after home schooling for over 13 years, putting this list together has made me personally re-think my own methods for lesson planning and whether I am using my time in the most efficient manner.
