Operation Mobilize Homeschoolers Header 2We believe that families have the God-given right and responsibility to raise their own children.

The media and legislators around the country are calling for a crackdown on homeschooling in light of the Turpin tragedy and at least four states are already considering massive new regulations, some including regular home checkups by the state. Anti-family groups have united and are organizing Democratic voters to vote in the Republican primary against pro-family candidates.

We are taking these threats very seriously. If we don’t elect the right legislators, it only takes one bill to dissolve our freedom completely.

Some people don’t believe that can happen in Texas. In reality, anti-family bills are filed every legislative session.

Watch Rep. Sarah Davis arguing last year that the state should be able to forcibly vaccinate a child in temporary Child Protective Services (CPS) care before a court determines whether removal from the home was justified in the first place! Also, see THSC debating against a bill allowing CPS to make monthly visits to the homes of innocent families to check on them.

What keeps us free? The answer is simple: you do. Because of the proactive work of Texas families like yours, we had relentless advocates for families in the Texas legislature before those threats arose.

We are free because we are involved. That’s why we need you.

Here are two things you can do to mobilize a strategic response against these threats:

  1. Volunteer to poll greet for a pro-family candidate in your area! Take your kids with you to a voting location assigned by a campaign, greet the voters who come to vote, and hand them information about the candidate. You would be amazed how many voters rely on this information to make their decision. Take 15 seconds to fill out the form linked below and we will let you know which local campaigns need your help most.

2. Vote during early voting from Feb. 20-Mar. 2. You can also vote on election day, Mar. 6. To find a polling location close to you, please visit: www.VoteTexas.gov/Voting/Where. Did you know that although homeschoolers make up less than 5% of the population, homeschoolers could account for nearly 20% of the vote? Your vote matters!
