While parents are enjoying the Convention at the Arlington Convention Center, kids ages 4-12 will take part in their own events just across the covered walkway at the Arlington Sheraton.
In what program should I enroll my child?

Get ready for some exciting archaeological finds at the 2018 THSC Kids Convention! Your children ages 4-12 will have a fun-filled weekend of songs, games, skits, and crafts as we take a “Creation Vacation” together and dig into God’s Word to learn about how our world began! Surprises and mysteries await each eager adventurer!
NOTE: Sibling groups will be kept together unless parents communicate otherwise. Special requests for children to be placed on the same team will be considered IF the request is submitted WITH registration. For security reasons, team changes on site may not be considered.
MIGHTY MEN OF VALOR
The Mighty Men of Valor program is designed to encourage preteen boys to be men after God’s own heart, with a focus on what it means to be faithful. Is there a man of God that can be faithful and serve the living Christ today? King David was taken through many trials and down many paths. His Mighty Men of Valor were challenged at every turn, yet they remained strong and faithful. They were only successful because of the Lord’s power in their lives.
Today’s young men are also challenged at every turn and need to be encouraged to stand strong and make right decisions. They need to realize that only by God’s power can they resist the enemy and be on the offensive. By being faithful to Him, they will have the power to overcome the enemy.
The Christian Life is often compared to running a race. Mighty Men of Valor are those who can stand, finish the race, and win the Prize – “The Crown of Rightness” (2 Tim. 4:8). In 2018, we will focus on what it means to “Run the Race” and “Finish the Course” (2 Tim. 4:7). Activities will include fun-filled skits, singing and Bible verse memorization. Young men will build and race Pinewood Derby cars, learn aerodynamics by flying balsa wood airplanes and will be involved in other projects. In addition to competing in some of these physical races, they will learn about the challenges of running the spiritual race.
Preteen girls ages 11-12 are in for a life-changing adventure when they attend the Inner Princess program at the 2018 THSC Convention and learn more about what it means to be a true princess and daughter of the King of Kings!
Important Details for All Programs
Recognizing that your children’s safety comes first, we want to make sure that you know your children will be well cared for in this nearby facility. Please read the following for answers to your questions about this year’s programs.
Will the campus be secure for my children?
We are blessed to have trained volunteers who will be checking doors and making sure that those who enter are involved in our programs or have children enrolled.
Volunteers over the age of 18 in the three programs will undergo background checks and attend mandatory child protection training.
Where should I check in?
Children should be taken directly to the Arlington Sheraton and be checked into their respective programs there.
Will I need to come get my children for lunch?
Yes. There will be a mandatory parent pick-up time for lunch.
When can I pick up my children?
For security reasons you may pick up your children at the Arlington Sheraton any time during the day, but you may be asked to wait if children are currently in Large Group. Parents must have their wristbands, which are provided at registration, in order to pick up their children. IMPORTANT: If children become unruly, unmanageable, distracting, or harmful to others, we will contact you and ask that you pick them up immediately.
What if there is an emergency?
We request that your cell number be written on your children’s wristbands and that your cellphones be kept within your reach. If your child becomes sick or needs you, we will be able to contact you directly. If we are unable to reach you, we will contact THSC staff, who will then be able to assist us in contacting you. Medical personnel will be present at Convention at all times. In case of any serious emergencies, 911 will be called immediately, and parents will be called at the next available moment.
